Compatibility
Shopify permissions, store-address, browser, OAuth, and data-access requirements for Fullmetrix.
Supported Shopify setup
Fullmetrix is a hosted Shopify integration. It does not depend on a theme version, PHP version, Shopify CLI, or a merchant-created API key.
| Component | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Store | An accessible Shopify store with a permanent .myshopify.com domain |
| Shopify user | Permission to manage and install apps and channels |
| Authorization | OAuth access approved from the correct Shopify store |
| Browser | Cookies and redirects allowed for Shopify and Fullmetrix |
| Fullmetrix | An organization that can accept the store connection |
If Shopify presents an app charge or trial approval, the user also needs the Shopify Approve app charges permission. See Shopify's store-permissions guide.
Store address
Fullmetrix accepts a Shopify custom domain, a short store handle, or a .myshopify.com address and resolves it to the permanent Shopify domain. Prefer the permanent address displayed by Shopify, especially when the storefront domain redirects or has recently changed.
Valid examples:
my-store.myshopify.com
my-store
www.example-store.comDo not enter a Shopify administrator URL, credentials, an IP address, a private hostname, or a URL with a checkout or product path.
Data access
The current Fullmetrix connection requests access required to:
- Read orders, including historical orders
- Read customers, products, collections, variants, inventory, discounts, and price rules
- Import abandoned-checkout and refund information used by reporting
- Receive order, customer, product, refund, and app-uninstall webhooks
- Install and maintain the Fullmetrix storefront tracker
Shopify always shows the effective access categories before installation or reauthorization. Review that screen and the Fullmetrix privacy policy before approving. Shopify explains this review screen in Installing and setting up apps.
Commerce data is transferred to Fullmetrix
After authorization, Fullmetrix retrieves the store data required for analytics over Shopify's authenticated APIs and keeps it synchronized through webhooks. Do not approve the app until your organization has reviewed the applicable privacy and data-processing terms.
Storefront and password protection
A password-protected development store can complete the administrative OAuth connection and API import. Storefront visitor tracking only becomes meaningful when visitors can load the storefront and the Fullmetrix tracker.
