Discover the three ways to take your Fullmetrix data to other tools, the public API, the MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT, and the Looker Studio connector.

This section explains how to use your Fullmetrix data outside Fullmetrix. It is for you if you want to build a dashboard in Looker Studio, query your store from Claude or ChatGPT, or plug an in-house tool into your figures.

Despite its name, much of this section needs no technical skill. Connecting Claude or Looker Studio takes a few clicks, without writing code.

Three ways to access your data

ToolFor whomWhat it does
Looker Studio connectorAnyone building dashboardsShow your sales, orders and customers in Looker Studio reports, updated automatically
MCP serverPeople using Claude, ChatGPT or another compatible AI assistantAsk questions about your store from your usual AI assistant
Public APIDevelopers and data teamsFetch your sales metrics as JSON, from a script or an internal tool

All of these are read-only. None of them can change your orders, products or Fullmetrix settings.

What you need before you start

A connected and synchronized store, because all these tools read the data Fullmetrix imported. If you have not done it yet, follow the quickstart.

An API key for the public API and Looker Studio. You create it in Settings, API Keys tab. The MCP server also accepts an API key, but most AI assistants sign in with your Fullmetrix account, with no key to copy.

An active trial or subscription. These accesses work during the free trial and during the subscription. If the organization's subscription stops, API keys are refused until it resumes.

An API key gives access to your figures

Anyone holding a key can read the data of the linked organization. Never publish it on a website, in a public code repository or in a shared message. If a key has leaked, revoke it right away in API Keys and create a new one.

The visitor tracking script, installed on your site, is described in Site tracking. For detailed key management, see API Keys. To ask questions directly in Fullmetrix, use the AI assistant.
