Connect your store
Pick the right connection method for your platform and know what to prepare before you start.
Every Fullmetrix report is built from your online store's data. Until a store is connected, the E-commerce, Margin and Live activity pages stay empty, along with most marketing features. Connecting your store is the first thing to do after creating your account.
Once the store is connected, we import its history (orders, customers, products, categories, coupons, refunds) and then keep that data up to date automatically. You never need to restart anything by hand.
Supported platforms
Fullmetrix works with six e-commerce platforms. How you connect depends on yours.
| Platform | Connection method | What you install |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Authorization in Shopify | Nothing. You enter your store address and approve access in Shopify. |
| WooCommerce | WordPress plugin and connection code | The Fullmetrix plugin, from the ZIP file provided by Fullmetrix or from the WordPress plugin directory |
| PrestaShop | Module and connection code | The Fullmetrix module, from the ZIP file provided by Fullmetrix |
| Magento | Extension and connection code | The Fullmetrix extension, with Composer |
| Sylius | Plugin and connection code | The Fullmetrix plugin, with Composer |
| Shopware | Private app authorization in Shopware | The Fullmetrix app ZIP provided by Fullmetrix |
WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento and Sylius all rely on a connection code. It is a unique code shaped like FMTX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX that Fullmetrix generates for your store. You paste it into the module installed on your store, and that code links the store to your Fullmetrix organization. Each code works once, for a single store.
What you need before you start
- A Fullmetrix account with an organization created. The organization is the workspace that holds a store and all of its reports.
- Administrator access to your store, with permission to install modules or plugins. If someone else runs your store, ask them to do this with you.
- A store that is online and reachable from the Internet. A store in maintenance mode or behind a password cannot be imported.
- Ten minutes at your computer, with Fullmetrix open in one tab and your store admin in another.
Where you connect
You connect your first store during onboarding, at the Connect store step. Fullmetrix lists the six platforms there and shows the matching connection method.
If you skipped that step, or want to add another store later, open Settings in the sidebar, then the Integrations tab. The card in the E-commerce category offers a Connect button, or Add a store if a store is already linked.
What happens after you connect
As soon as the store connection is approved, Fullmetrix detects it on its own. Onboarding moves to the Preparing step, which shows the import progress. How long it takes depends on your number of orders and how old the store is. You can click Go to dashboard anyway without waiting, because the import keeps running in the background and your numbers fill in as it goes.
To follow the import in detail, read Historical import and Sync status.
One organization, one platform
An organization can hold up to three stores, all on the same platform. To track a PrestaShop store and a WooCommerce store, create one organization for each, then view them together in Multi-store. The Multiple stores page explains how.
