Quickstart

Create your account, go through the four onboarding steps and check that your first dashboard shows the right numbers.

This guide takes you from creating your account to a dashboard whose numbers you have checked. Plan about fifteen minutes of setup, plus the time it takes to import your history, which depends on the size of your store.

What you need

Admin access to your store (PrestaShop, WordPress, Magento, Sylius or Shopware back office, or Shopify admin). For Magento and Sylius, server access to run a Composer command. For Shopware, the private Fullmetrix app ZIP. The timezone and currency you want to read your reports in.

The words used in this guide

An organization is your workspace in Fullmetrix. It usually matches one brand or one store. Its settings (timezone, currency, calculation rules) apply to all its reports. You can create more later.

The connector is the small piece of software you install on your store, called a plugin, module or extension depending on the platform. It sends your orders, products and customers to Fullmetrix. On Shopify there is nothing to install by hand, you authorize our app instead.

The connection code is a string Fullmetrix generates for your organization. You paste it into the connector so the store knows which organization to send its data to. Treat it like a password.

Create your account

Open the Fullmetrix sign-up page. You have two options.

  • Click Continue with Google to use your Google account, with no password to create.
  • Or fill in Name, Email, Password and Confirm password, then click Create account. The name needs at least 2 characters and the password at least 8.

If you signed up with email, the Check your inbox screen appears. Open the verification email we just sent you and click the link. If nothing arrives after a few minutes, check your spam folder, then use Resend verification email. The button shows a countdown between two sends.

Once your address is verified, Fullmetrix opens the onboarding. It is a four-step wizard shown on the left of the screen (or at the top on mobile) with Step 1/4, Step 2/4 and so on.

The four onboarding steps

Create the organization

The screen is titled Welcome to Fullmetrix. Enter your Store name, for example your brand name. This name identifies your organization in Fullmetrix. It needs at least 2 characters, otherwise Minimum 2 characters appears under the field.

If this is your very first organization, a company name field appears above it. The company groups your organizations and carries the billing. The store name is filled in with the same value, and you can change it.

Click Create and continue.

Set the timezone and currency

The Basic settings screen asks for two settings.

The Timezone decides which day an order belongs to. An order placed at half past eleven at night in Paris lands on different days depending on the timezone. Pick the one you work in and that your store uses. The default is Europe/Paris.

The Currency is the one your amounts are shown in. Type a few letters in the search field to find it, for example "EUR" or "dollar". The default is the euro.

Click Save and continue. If you would rather decide later, Skip this step keeps the defaults. You can change everything in Settings, General tab, as explained in Currencies and timezones.

Connect the store

The Connect your store screen shows six platforms. Click yours.

Enter Your store address, either your domain name or your .myshopify.com address. Click Connect Shopify. The message Redirecting to Shopify... appears, then Shopify asks you to authorize the Fullmetrix app. Once you approve, Shopify sends you back to Fullmetrix and the import starts.

If you install Fullmetrix from the Shopify admin instead of from the onboarding, a Connect Shopify screen asks which organization to attach the store to, or lets you create one with Create and connect.

The details are in Install Fullmetrix on Shopify.

For plugin platforms, keep the Fullmetrix page open during the installation. The Waiting for plugin connection block updates on its own as soon as your store has accepted the code. It then turns into Plugin connected, and the Waiting for plugin button becomes Continue. Click it.

If you picked the wrong platform, the Change platform link takes you back to the list. If you do not have access to your store yet, the Skip this step link takes you straight to the dashboard, with no data. You can connect the store later from Settings, Integrations tab.

Let us prepare your workspace

The Preparing your workspace screen follows the import of your order, product and customer history. The message changes through the phases, from Fetching your data to Almost there. The page updates on its own and opens your dashboard as soon as the data is ready.

You do not have to wait. The Go to dashboard anyway button takes you there right away. The import keeps running in the background and your data appears progressively.

If the Sync failed message appears, click Retry sync. If it keeps failing, see Synchronization issues.

How long the import takes

It depends on how many orders and products your store has, and on the speed of its server. A small store is ready in a few minutes. A store with several years of history can take several hours. The Historical import page explains what is imported and in which order.

Check your first numbers

A dashboard is only useful if you trust its numbers. Run this check once the import is complete.

Open the dashboard

Click Dashboard at the top of the sidebar. If the Syncing screen shows instead of numbers, the import is not far enough along yet. It updates on its own.

Pick a finished period

Click the period button at the top right, choose Last month, then Apply. A finished period avoids comparing numbers from a day that is still running. The full picker is described in Date range and comparison.

Compare with your store

Note Revenue and Orders on the dashboard. Then open the sales report of your back office for the same month and compare.

Small gaps are normal, and they almost always have an explanation.

What you seeMost common causeWhere to change it
A few orders off at the start or end of the monthThe Fullmetrix timezone is not the store's timezoneSettings, General tab
More orders in FullmetrixYour back office only counts some statuses (paid, shipped), while Fullmetrix also counts cancelled or pending orders until you exclude themSettings, Reports tab
Fewer orders in FullmetrixZero-value orders and the statuses you excluded are not countedSettings, Reports tab
Different revenueFullmetrix deducts refunds, taxes, shipping and fees or not, depending on your settingsSettings, Reports tab
Shifted datesFullmetrix always assigns an order to its creation date, while your store may count on the payment dateIn your back office, pick a report based on the order date

Each setting is detailed in Report settings, Order statuses and Date settings. The Data accuracy page explains how to run a full comparison.

Add your other sources

Your store provides orders, products and customers. Other sources add what the store does not know, such as your ad spend or your traffic. They are all optional.

Open Settings in the sidebar, then the Integrations tab. You will find the ad platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, ChatGPT Ads), Google Analytics 4, Search Console, WhatsApp Business and the other tools. The Integrations page introduces each of them.

To invite your colleagues, open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then Company. Team management is described in Team and roles.
