Audience sync
Understand what synced audiences and conversion import do, and what you need to connect before you start.
The Audience Sync section connects your store data to your advertising and email tools. It does two different things, each on its own page.
Synchronization sends a list of people to Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Omnisend or Klaviyo. That list is called an audience. You build it from a Fullmetrix segment, for example "customers who ordered more than three times". Fullmetrix then keeps it up to date, so you never re-export a file. You can target these people in a campaign, exclude them from a prospecting campaign, or email them from your email tool.
Conversion import sends your orders to Meta Ads, Google Ads or TikTok Ads as soon as they reach a status you pick, for example "Completed". A conversion is a purchase the ad platform credits to its campaigns. We send these from our servers, not from your customer's browser. They don't depend on ad blockers or cookie refusals, so the ad platform gets more complete numbers to optimize your bids.
Where to find the section
In the sidebar, open the Marketing group, then Audience Sync. Two entries appear, Synchronization and Conversion import.
What to connect first
The Audience Sync entry only appears once at least one of these integrations is connected in Settings, then Integrations. That means Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Omnisend or Klaviyo.
The Conversion import entry also needs a connected store, because it sends your orders. It only covers the three ad platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads). Omnisend and Klaviyo don't receive conversions.
| What you want to do | What to connect |
|---|---|
| Send an audience to an ad platform | Meta Ads, Google Ads or TikTok Ads |
| Send an audience to an email tool | Omnisend or Klaviyo |
| Send your orders as conversions | A store, plus Meta Ads, Google Ads or TikTok Ads |
To connect each tool, follow its page in Integrations.
An audience almost always starts from a segment. If you don't have one yet, read Segments first. Without a segment, you can still send all your customers.
